I still remember my ivory bridal shoes which I had the crazy idea to match with my wedding cake. It wasn’t easy, but I managed to find some top wedding cakes that were absolutely great, made by a guy who was more than willing to help me create this effect to amaze my guests. In the beginning, I wanted to buy the bridal shoes, so I started looking in the shops for designer shoes suitable for my idea. Vera Wang and Stuart Weitzman had some shoe models that I liked, but after discussing with my wedding planner, we decided to ask a local shoe designer to make a pair of custom ivory bridal shoes just for me. So did he, then we talked with the wedding cakes decorator company and they made the cake in the shape of a huge replica of my left bridal shoe. They even managed to obtain ivory chocolate for the cake topper. That was quite a delicious piece of confectionery I’ll remember for all my life. You can imagine it wasn’t possible to keep the wedding cake as a memory, but I kept the ivory bridal shoes instead.

Born shoes are amongst my big favorites, when it comes to footwear. Actually not only Born shoes, but any other brand of shoes which look stylish and which are comfortable at the same time.
Comfort for my feet is very important. If shoes hurt, you get nervous, you yell at people without reason, you feel sad and depressed. It’s normal. Who can live with eternal pains in their feet?
But this is not the case with Born shoes. Either you pick something from their Crown collection, or you just please yourself with the Casual collection, or you opt for clogs or boots, all shoes from Born are designed for comfort and pleasure. Besides, they come in a variety of colors which makes them easy to match with your outfits and other accessories. and you can be sure you’ll never pass unnoticed if you wear some pistachio sandals or the sage Shoal from the casual collection. Yet my favorite from women’s casual is Thea corallo, because I love both the colors combination and the shape of the shoes. And the feeling is unbelievable. You cannot realize until you try them.

New Balance sneakers are so hot that I can hardly wait to get my special pair as a winter gift from my friends. Born mens shoes are wanted for the comfort they offer and for the elegant touch that makes any man feel like a fashion designer, or like a fashion fan. One of the most famous shoes collections from Born is the Crown Collection. From the most popular shoe of this collection, called Rafael, to the ugliest ones, which in my view are the Bail shoes, Crown offered me the chance to dress up like a real macho, and from time to time to manage look like a real businessman, in my business meetings. Florsheim shoes for men or for women are a great choice for many outfits and occasions. No matter if you need dress shoes, or jeans shoes, or smart business shoes, they seem to match and there a shoe available for every profile of person. When I saw the Florsheim shoes new arrivals last month, I was pleasantly surprised by the great look of the men’s shoes. The leather is good, because it is soft and it doesn’t make too many wrinkles. When you take your shoes off, the leather looks like new for a long time. Of course, this happens only if you take care of the shoes like you do for your face. I use skin cream for my leather shoes, be them Florsheim or any other brand. This is important if you want them to last for longer. I’ve heard this tip from one of my colleagues at university: she was taking so much care of her boots that she was using her crazy expensive face cream to treat them every evening. I don’t know how many of you have heard of Tony Lama, the shoes and boots designer who started his enterprise in 1911, in El Paso, Texas. This surely explains the cowboy look of his footwear, but the added elegance and modernity makes them a good choice for a wide category of clients, both men and women. For the sake of shoe history, Tony Lama’s parents immigrated from Italy to US, where little Tony was born in 1887. He was passionate about shoes since childhood. At the age of 11 he worked as an apprentice at a shoemaker in Syracuse, and this is how he got to learn the secrets of the shoes manufacturing and leather processing trade. In the beginning, he was focused mostly on repairing shoes and boots, but later on, after he served in the army at the Cavalry, he started making Western boots. He became famous among ranchers and cowboys who were in big demand for custom made boots, and convinced by the quality offered by Tony Lama, they became regular customers. In the first year of his business, Tony Lama and his apprentice manufactured a total of 20 pairs of boots. Since then, the shoe making business evolved to the impressive figure of 750 pairs of boots per day, which they started to produce in 1961, after expanding their operation which several new operation sites and bigger headquarters.

Back in 1989, Max Azria, a fashion designer, founded the clothing line called BCBG. BCBG shoes are part of this line. Born in America, the BCBG shoes were supposed to make Europe feel a bit of the American fashion trends. While the headquarters of BCBG are in New York City, the shoes entered UK thanks to the retail chain of Harvey Nichols.
Amongst the Hollywood celebrities who helped boosting the popularity of BCBG shoes are Jessica Simpson, Paris Hilton, or Lindsay Lohan. This was possible due to the fact that the BCBG line includes elegant, high heel shoes and sandals, making them suitable for the look and feel of a Hollywood star.

As much as I adore Born shoes, I have to admit that there are a few state-of-the art techniques in manufacturing shoes, and especially soles, that amaze me with their simplicity, and yet functionality that can give so much comfort to walking. Aerosoles shoes are a very good example.
