Fun with Florsheim Shoes

October 27th, 2008 | Posted in Florsheim Shoes, My famous shoes collection

Florsheim shoes for men or for women are a great choice for many outfits and occasions. No matter if you need dress shoes, or jeans shoes, or smart business shoes, they seem to match and there a shoe available for every profile of person. When I saw the Florsheim shoes new arrivals last month, I was pleasantly surprised by the great look of the men’s shoes. The leather is good, because it is soft and it doesn’t make too many wrinkles. When you take your shoes off, the leather looks like new for a long time. Of course, this happens only if you take care of the shoes like you do for your face. I use skin cream for my leather shoes, be them Florsheim or any other brand. This is important if you want them to last for longer. I’ve heard this tip from one of my colleagues at university: she was taking so much care of her boots that she was using her crazy expensive face cream to treat them every evening. I laughed at her at that time, but later on, I thought she was right and I tried it myself. Indeed, I managed to have much better looking shoes than before, so I’d say this was a very good tip in the footwear maintaining and care. Moreover, these shoes are a perfect match for my diabetic crew socks, so I can easily say that they are both fun and healthy.

So, do you want to see my Florsheim shoes for men?

Tony Lama

September 24th, 2008 | Posted in My famous shoes collection

I don’t know how many of you have heard of Tony Lama, the shoes and boots designer who started his enterprise in 1911, in El Paso, Texas. This surely explains the cowboy look of his footwear, but the added elegance and modernity makes them a good choice for a wide category of clients, both men and women. For the sake of shoe history, Tony Lama’s parents immigrated from Italy to US, where little Tony was born in 1887. He was passionate about shoes since childhood. At the age of 11 he worked as an apprentice at a shoemaker in Syracuse, and this is how he got to learn the secrets of the shoes manufacturing and leather processing trade. In the beginning, he was focused mostly on repairing shoes and boots, but later on, after he served in the army at the Cavalry, he started making Western boots. He became famous among ranchers and cowboys who were in big demand for custom made boots, and convinced by the quality offered by Tony Lama, they became regular customers. In the first year of his business, Tony Lama and his apprentice manufactured a total of 20 pairs of boots. Since then, the shoe making business evolved to the impressive figure of 750 pairs of boots per day, which they started to produce in 1961, after expanding their operation which several new operation sites and bigger headquarters.

Tony Lama Boots

The Tony Lama boots are famous for their quality and for the big variety of styles. Each and every boot is manufactured through a long process which takes about 100 steps, done by skillful and well-trained craftsmen, and using only top grade leather.
Each Tony Lama boot comprises special features such as a shank, a heavy gauge double ribbed steel band that supports the arch. Due to this innovative approach to comfort and quality, we can say that Tony Lama Boots are amongst the world’s most comfortable footwear.

Some of my favorite boots ever are the VF6001 Ladies’ Tony Lama Tan Thoroughbred, which offer great quality and an amazing design, at only $180 a pair. The model at the upper edge of the boots looks so beautiful that I cannot take my eyes of them, making people laugh at me in the street.

Aerosoles Shoes

August 21st, 2008 | Posted in Aerosoles Shoes, My famous shoes collection

As much as I adore Born shoes, I have to admit that there are a few state-of-the art techniques in manufacturing shoes, and especially soles, that amaze me with their simplicity, and yet functionality that can give so much comfort to walking. Aerosoles shoes are a very good example. From the Aerosoles Sky Scrapers which come in black, pink or green fabric and can be bought with as little as $36.95, to the purple leather Frillet of Sole, a classic round-toe flat shoe with edge, which has an intricate cut-out leather design with contrasting mesh panels. The foot bed is cushioned and built on a flexible rubber sole, which makes these Aerosoles shoes simply irresistible. If we think that they can be found now are the promotional price of $19.99, exactly on the Aerosoles official website, I think it is a must to have one pair of each color: purple, orange, silver and black.

Aerosoles Women’s Shoes

Another big favorite of mine is the Aerosole Hyperactive sandal, which has an ankle strap and perfectly suits all occasions. The rhinestone details make it suitable also for evening and parties. The Aerosole Hyperactive sandals are available in three colors: pink (my love), white and black, they are made of leather and they are now discounted from $59 to $29. I see this sandal to fit a very elegant and modern woman, who likes to glow and to be the soul of all parties. Now, with the winter clearance of up to 75% off, every girl could request a catalog and do some spring shopping at Aerosoles.

Which are your favorite Aerosoles shoes?

My Favorite Aerosoles Shoes

What woman wouldn’t like the amazing red leather Aerosoles Cheerleader shoes, with their teasing cut-outs and with their beautiful bow? Their perforated leather allows your feet to breathe, and the flexible rubber sole offer the comfort we are all after. I think I’ll look very cool with them and I can match them with dozens outfits I already have. Even prom dresses can go well with these shoes. In my opinion, they are the best: as I cannot walk on high heels, this average height fits me well, and the elegance I can get with these Aerosoles shoes is priceless.
