Florsheim shoes for men or for women are a great choice for many outfits and occasions. I don’t know how many of you have heard of Tony Lama, the shoes and boots designer who started his enterprise in 1911, in El Paso, Texas. This surely explains the cowboy look of his footwear, but the added elegance and modernity makes them a good choice for a wide category of clients, both men and women. For the sake of shoe history, Tony Lama’s parents immigrated from Italy to US, where little Tony was born in 1887. He was passionate about shoes since childhood. In the beginning, he was focused mostly on repairing shoes and boots, but later on, after he served in the army at the Cavalry, he started making Western boots. In the first year of his business, Tony Lama and his apprentice manufactured a total of 20 pairs of boots. Since then, the shoe making business evolved to the impressive figure of 750 pairs of boots per day, which they started to produce in 1961, after expanding their operation which several new operation sites and bigger headquarters.

I’ve always admitted to be a huge fan of Born shoes. They have a special place in my shoe carnival (this is how I like to call my special shoes collection). What you don’t know is that I have various tastes when it comes to footwear, and that trainers shoes like the New Balance cross series (most of all New Balance 574 and 576 and the cool New Balance cross trainer, retro, or classics) come in my personal shoe top, as well as those comfortable running shoes I use to buy since 2007 and my favorite womens golf shoes which I use when I play golf, but also in other occasions. This is because I’m rather the sport type and comfort comes in the top of the features my shoes need to have for actually becoming mine. While I must admit I do appreciate Designer Shoes, I’m not keen on having only this kind of footwear. Any beautiful and comfortable no-name shoes would do as well.

I have a belief: in life, we all have our own shoe carnival, starting from the age when we start to walk on our feet, and ending in the grave. Yes, funeral shoes are important for people who care about how they look when they pass away.

A woman who breathes femininity will always have a wardrobe full of multicolor shoes and womens handbags. She’ll never have enough of them, that’s why she’d be chasing the new collections with each change of season. A sportsman probably has a full wardrobe of sports shoes of all shapes and colors, from the fanciest Air Jordans, to the coolest hot kicks, retro Jordans with their air full of memories of past times glory, sneakers for hip hop and basketball fans, Bakers shoes making the young generation feel special, those fancy cycling shoes, or the must have Nike Uptown sneakers, to spread jealousy amongst their friends. Have you ever visited an online shoe store? If you did so, you probably had the same feeling I have whenever I enter an online show store to seek for some new boots, or sandals, or slippers. Many times, I just look for some leather accessories, such as belts or gloves to match a pair of shoes I already have. Since some of my footwear comes from famous collections, they have such colors that are very hard to find elsewhere. My Famous Shoes Collection

I’m 40. My famous shoes collection started about 25 years ago, when my feet stopped growing. Since that moment, I was so happy that I never had to worry again that my favorite pair of boots would fit me for only one season. I was thrilled that I can wear many years in a row my Nike shoes, my Air Force Ones sneakers, my croc shoes or my Jordan shoes. It’s useless to say that as a child, my parents refused to buy me expensive shoes, because they argued I’d wear them only a couple of times until they become too small for my feet. They were right, but I felt miserable for having only fake Coach shoes or lousy, not branded athletic footwear. I was not aware by that time that I can use a formal wear rental service in order to save the money I spent for outfits which I wore only once or twice.

Now, especially that I make my own money, I do have several pairs of shoes for pretty much every occasion in life. Can you believe that I still have my prom shoes (who would just throw away a nice, white pair of Prada shoes? That’s not me!)?

Buying famous footwear, I discovered that those shoes are actually worth the price most of the times. Not only they are better in terms of design and materials, but they are made with the customer in mind, so they very seldom hurt my feet. Usually, they fit like a glove and they turn long walks into a pleasure. Even my bridal shoes, which were not designer shoes, but some custom made ones (yes, one of my friends is a footwear designer and he made me that gift for my wedding), were so comfortable that I was able to dance all night long without feeling any pains in my feet.

My locker is rather a shoe carnival, as I love matching my footwear and accessories with my clothes. In this respect, I do have a collection of about 40 wrist watches with inter-changeable bracelets, so I can make crazy combinations when I go to parties. I like to be noticed, and since I’m not the smartest girl in town, at least I want to be the cutest and the most fashionable. It’s not cheap, I know, but I feel so good each time I get myself a new pair of slippers, or sandals, or shoes, that it’s really worth paying the price.

What I always tried was to buy shoes in the discount periods, meaning out of season, like in January, when all shops have huge discounts not only for shoes but for many other clothing products. Guess how much did I pay for my new balance sneakers? I’m not going to disclose this to you, but it surely was one of those sweet clothing deals I enjoy so much!

Although I’m an elegant lady, I still like to have sport shoes in my wardrobe. Yes, every now and then I go to the gym or I play tennis or squash, or basketball, so my Airbrushed Air Force Ones make me look cool despite of my age. What? In the highschool I used to play basketball very well!

This is about my famous shoes collection. Taking care of all these shoes requires a lot of time. Only dusting them every now and then would take me several hours. Yes, I do keep them in boxes, but still, they need to get refreshed at times, in order to maintain the vivid colors.
